What a great hike! I really enjoyed this one. There were some people below maiden pools, but the trail was all mine after that. The window was pretty cool, but the views from the spires were the best. Lots of wildlife along the way, I even saw an Arizona Black Rattlesnake right on the trail! Definitely going to do it again soon.

Went on a long walk through the Rincons. Traveled from Madrona to Happy Valley Saddle by way of Rincon Creek Trail, where I encountered a large group of javelina (25+) and saw lots of quail. There were pools of water at Devil's Bathtub, and water was flowing at manning camp. It's pretty dry between Madrona and Devil's Bathtub, but luckily I ran into another hiker who was able to donate a liter :)

Went round trip from Javelina picnic area to Cow Head Saddle. Only ran into one person all day, a tourist lost off trail above the campground. Very windy at Tanque Verde Peak. The sun set on me heading back just past Juniper Basin, so I had to hike down in the dark... not too bad, but I wouldn't recommend it. All in all, a nice hike - I'll just start earlier next time.
