hahha i dont think i stayed on this trail at ALL! it was fun though, got my first hiking injury! Got all lost in a daydream while attempting to cross a creek and totally beefed it! hahaha so embarrassing, no one saw but every one i passed had to have known because i was soaked! and my i hurt my leg :sl: good times!

FINALLY got some time to get back outside! not enough to hit a mountain up but this was fun! :y: There was a couple cute little families, couple folks eating lunch, couple of loners like myself, it all just makes me so happy!

well i got outta my car at 9 am and back in the car just before 5, Went up to cathedral rock, ran out of water right after i headed back, there were so many flippin gnats and im chafing hahahahaha! motherf***er, that was brutal, the view was sooooo worth it! SOOO worth it! and i met an awesome dude who helped me find my way back to the visitors parking lot. Oh i also want to mention, i love that you put your money in an envelope for the parking pass with absolutely no supervision, in a society where you see picnic tables at parks and trash cans outside of grocery stores chained down, it was refreshing, made me smile, i love all these people i see when hiking, every one is so nice. all in all, a glorious day!!! :D

duuuuude! that was the most beautiful place i've ever seen! I dont even know what to say! It was freakin cold though, didnt know it was going to be so i wore shorts,I got lost at the josephine saddle sign, haha, i didnt observe my surroundings and see the memorial or the sign pointing you towards wrightson so i just kept trucking forward, after almost a mile of going downhill i started feeling like i wasnt on a trail, and i wasnt :) i followed my footsteps back and made my way back to where i was so i could have a junction do-over. Got back on track thanks to my brother walking me through it via text from NC. It was super snowy once the switchbacks started and after bellows spring.... pff! forget about it! i went all the way up though, at the top, where you reach the sign that says "wrightson 0.9" it was so foggy you couldnt see very far ahead of you. I only saw one person, some older fella all decked out in snow gear, he was so nice, we laughed at my outfit, chatted a bit then carried on. I walked til the GPS said it had been one mile after the sign that said itd be 0.9, ate a clif bar then headed back. Man i was so cold, its funny when you feel so cold that you cant remember what it feels like to not be =) My shoe kept coming untied and do you know how long it takes to tie your shoe when you cant feel your hands! Sheesh! OOOH and i listened to the 'Of monsters and men album the whole time, went sooo well, like that album is the soundtrack of that mountain! Got outta the snow, saw that my phone had 20% battery left and turned that hike into a trail run real quick! I didnt want to lose my gps stats! Phone literally died as i got back to the parking lot, i got to see my stats only for a sec so dont know my end elevation. Long story short... that place was amazing! im doing that one at least once a month! :y:

This was my favorite so far, so gorgeous! i didnt go down towards the water falls at the break though, i went up on the trail that ended up looking down on it, sweet running path up there! :) and in my total distance hiked, i did include when i was a little off track!

took phoneline to blackett ridge, didnt think i should log both and felt that blackett was more worthy of a logging! Man! the way up was BRUTAL! so awesome, that view, magic! I dont know what my problem is but i can never seem to find my way back to the bear canyon trailhead! oy! had to ask a 12 year old for directions! :sl:

Oh MAN! that was so much fun! it was so great because there were ups and downs all the way and then straights to run! Haha, im not sure where it ended which is how i got 9.89 miles out of a 9 mile trail! That was beautiful and awesome, got a sweet tan! Every time id come back to reality i'd realize i was smiling so thats good! haha i love when you put your weight on one foot going downhill and slide for what feels like minutes :sl: it makes me laugh out loud even though im alone!

that was AWESOME! Im pretty new to this whole thing and totally in love with it! I should've kept going but turned around at 3.5 miles (which doesnt add up to the end total?!:))I'd get all distracted by watching my footing and then when I'd look up it would feel like i got punched in the heart, every time! its so amazing and beautiful, everything is so BIG! :D ill go further next time!!
