First hike in 2 months. I had a knee sprain and I let it hold me down for way to long. It's warming up out there but thankfully the sun was being blocked by the western part of the mountain.

Went up Monday morning starting at 8 am. It was cloudy, windy and sprinkling. At the top of Ranger I continued on National to Kiwanis. A cloud was blown in and it swallowed the National trail. It got pretty chilly and windy so I rested on some rocks that blocked the wind. While I thought it was cool at first, I wish I had brought a jacket. I came down Kiwanis and saw a small cottontail rabbit. I headed through Los Lomitas back to the Ranger trail head. I'm not sure on mileage but I would guess around 3 1/2. A nice loop.

It 5:30pm on a Friday afternoon, temperature was 81 degrees. It was difficult for me to find the trail-head and I relied on the HAZ app to guide me until I was positive about my route. I found the trail fairly steep but not overly difficult. I did have to stop a few times for a moment to catch my breath. I hung out at the top for about 15 minutes and enjoyed the views.

My descent was slow and cautious. I slipped 3 times on loose dirt and rocks but never fell. I want to say it took me close to 35 minutes but I didn't time it.

I've been think about hiking Camelback Summit via Echo Canyon with some friends for a while now. But I've been hesitant because of my fear of about being too slow for the group. So I searched South Mountain trails for something similar to gauge the ascent difficulty. Warrior Trail appeared to be fairly close in AEG and distance. I think I'll be able to handle it soon enough.

I started at 8am, it was a nice 50 degrees and foggy. It was a pretty amazing hike in the fog with some cool views. The trail and area looked so different with the fog in the background. I went up and turned around at Dobbins. If I stayed longer and waited for the fog to melt off I'm sure I would of had nice pictures of the valley to share.

Started at about 1030 with a couple friends. Our pace was pretty slow with the traffic. Lots of people out today. Also a lot of people straight up climbing rocks and going off trail.

First time on this trail and first official hike that I have logged. Nice views and a decent workout.

This is a favorite trail of mine at South Mountain, probably because its so quick. I did this on a Friday afternoon starting about 5 pm with the western side of the mountain blocking the sun. I saw 2 other people on the trail and a park ranger. I noticed that it had been recently cleaned up, some trees and brush had been cut back.
