Both lakes are awesome, though Seville was a bit crowded so we were camping close to several other parties. The hike in was quite a bit longer than I anticipated (which ruled out doing a larger loop over to Twin Lakes for the second night), and there is a very steep descent from the park boundary toward the lakes which made for a slow hike out.
Having a lake to swim in at the campsite is a huge plus. So is having bear lockers available--we used them, but were advised to bring canisters in case the lockers were full or not secure.
Visibility was not up to AZ standards, but was fine enough until the last day when it got hazy (this was a while before the fires in Sequoia). |
