I arrived at Alderwood and thought it would be straightforward from there, based on the description. However, there are several places where a cattle fence crosses the creek, along with a maze of trails, poison ivy, etc, and I struggled to navigate it and be out of that mess. I could have tried a little harder, but I was already irritable (plus PMS) from a week of bushwacking, hot sun, and bug exposure. There was still some flow, and all of the pools were filled with the biggest crawdads I've ever seen in my life (I'm from the South and thought they were terrifying). I got the hell out of there and decided I would come back another time and try a different access point/itinerary...depending on what my lifted outback can get to, of course.

Swimming temps were almost as perfect as it gets. just wore a neoprene top and shorts. Did not even bother tracking our distance. Scrambled up several of the waterfalls relatively easily (we are all rock climbers) until we decided to turn back to eat lunch with our patient friend who waited by the first waterfall. Wildflowers were really showing off.

Gotta say, I think this might be the best view in the Supes I've ever seen. Wildflowers were an awesome bonus. Wanted to stay for sunset but needed to head home.

Slow pace due to rocks being wet and lots of photo stops. Total time 5 hours. We turned around when we got into the 2nd narrows, less than a quarter mile past the cave. Water levels low enough that we would’ve stayed dry if it weren’t for the waist-height wet grass. Only minimal bushwhacking was necessary.
