The trail is in great shape. No running water through any of the washes. The parking lot was finally paved, and they recently installed new signs at the trailhead. Please pick up after your dogs, and keep them on a leash if you bring them. I've seen several cars broken into at this trailhead, so pack your valuables with you on the trail. This is a great place to watch fireworks over Fourth of July (the top of Bactrian Summit Trail or Recoil Peak).

Hiked to Hutch's Pool starting at Prison Camp and ending at Sabino Canyon. A perfect weekend! The trail conditions were great and the weather was beautiful. Hutch's Pool had lots of flowing water. The pool itself was probably 8-10 feet deep at the end; even dunking my head, I couldn't touch the bottom. The water was frigid, which was fine for me, but half of our party wasn't comfortable going in past their calves. Either way, dipping your feet is a great way to recover from the backpacking. We left ample firewood (which we found; we didn't chop down anything) for the next party to enjoy some s'mores around the campfire!

Water level before the Phoneline/Seven Falls trail was a little high, about 6 inches running over the road walkway. I walked through the water and my friend walked on the stones lining the walkway wall. We saw red spotted toads, a scorpion, and a centipede. Great trail conditions.

Hiked Wasson Peak via King Canyon Trailhead. I read a few reports that the other trailheads had some car break ins (I think it was the Sweetwater Trailhead). It was a popular trail that day, with nearly the entire parking lot full. The trail is in great repair with well-labeled signs. Lots of people at the summit. On the way back to the parking lot (via a loop), we either missed part of the trail or we had to walk on the road. When I checked my Gaia app, it looks like the last 100 yards or so are indeed on the road back to the parking lot, so heads up on that. The road is wide with a shoulder, so it wasn't a big deal, but just be aware in case you go that way.
