Fun hike on a beautiful saturday afternoon. We had just bought a little carrier for the squirt, and we wanted to break it in on something close by. Lookout is always a fun trail. However, someone soiled their tighty-whities, and left them right in the middle of the trail- totally nasty. Other than that, beautiful hike with blooms everywhere!

I usually hike this trail about 3+ times a week. On the trail starting at the Central ave trailhead, at the first "peak" you get to there are some sweet Indian ruins. There is a big stone circle, about the size of stonehenge, and on the east side of the slope, there is a small room/cave that is also part of the historic site.

I enjoy this trail the best at night. During the day it is a boring, paved, old service road; but at night it comes to life as you can enjoy all of the city lights. It can also be a pretty neat place to watch incomming storms (if you dont mind being on top of a mountain during an electrical storm). At the top I usually take a small trail that goes around the perimiter of the fence. The trail goes around from the north-most side of the gated area, around to the south.
