| no partners | | Hike #4 of 5 of the PHX5 Phoenix Summit Challenge. I have hiked down the Ranger Trail a couple of times, but never up. I can now confirm that going up is much harder than down. Especially as the fourth hike of the day. It was warm, but luckily a lot of the trail was in shade. At the ridge line there was a very nice breeze which felt great. Even though it was sunny at South Mountain there were lots of dark clouds, and it looked like there was rain to the North.
