As you head north on Frog tanks you will pass a cattle trough area before you start to climb out of the canyon (somewhere near Frog Spring I think), there is a lot of room to camp there. I've also camped on Frog near the intersection with Fish Creek Canyon.

You could camp here, about 2 or so miles north of Angel Basin on Frog Tanks. This would be an easy stroll into, from Reavis really.

We did this loop in November -camped at Reavis Ranch and then at Angel Basin. We lost Frog Tanks near where it turns south and we stayed in the creek bed for 1/2 mile bushwhacking -the trail goes up to Frog Tanks before descending to Rogers Canyon

We're also thinking of doing this loop the end of Feb. Is the preferred direction clockwise or counterclockwise? Thanks

From a water-carrying perspective, I like counterclockwise because you hit the most reliable water sooner. From hill perspective, I feel like clockwise breaks up the climbing a little more.

Every time I have been in this area there has been water in Fish Creek drainage a couple minutes downstream from the Froggie. Once back on the trail up to Angel Basin, there is a small campsite a few minutes up on the left side of the trail; between the trail and the creekbed. Larger (but more well-used) sites available at A.B. and above the ruin on the trail to Roger's. A.B. is a cold-sink, so if cold I would avoid - also has more than its share of goat-heads.

Import by ID is for Guides & posted GPS Routes
fear not, you can get this one direct too

RS Home > Import > Route Cloud > Public
Then type Reavis rogers in search and you should see it
