Reavis Ranch overnighter partners this weekend

Post by Dirt4dinner »

Hi there,
I can't talk my wife into hiking this weekend, so I am reaching out to the community here. I am looking to do a 10-15 mile one way hike, staying the night, then coming back in the morning. I am trying to get ready for a 70 mile Pacific Crest Trail hike in late April, and I haven't been doing nearly enough stuff with a backpack on! I was considering Reavis Canyon Trail, because I haven't done it yet. I would like to leave on Saturday late morning from Mesa, and then come back early on Sunday. If you're interested let me know. Weather should be good enough this weekend to go without a tent, my bag can handle the overnight low of 35-40. Hit me back...I've been told I'm good company! -Tyler

make sure to tell your buddy about the run/race going on in Sedona, that will be a zoo and also February is one of the most hectic times due to all the resorts planning weddings. Id stay away and go hiking with us.

*JOE, you still interested? we'd like you to come. I need to call Tortilla Flats to see if tortilla creek is behaving and the az88 is still open.

Alrighty, it looks like I'm in! I knew my plans would fall through, I just wish the circumstances were different. My buddy basically had his fiance walk out on him...probably for good. The whole situation sounds like a Springer episode. So needless to say, they aren't up for a trip to Sedona anymore.

So, uh, when and where?

Don't sweat it. We had a lousy fire anyway; most of the wood was too wet. We ended up hitting the sack at about 9pm. Good thing too, since the ringtail kept us up most of the night.
