Going to go on a "Spring Finding" hike to Hackberry Spring on Tuesday, Nov. 20th

Outdoor Lover
RWStorm

Leaving the Horse Parking Lot on First Water Road at 0900.
We will hike to Hackberry Spring then on to Garden Valley and return via the Trailhead and back to the Horse Lot.
This is open to anyone who wants to come along and meet some HAZ'ers in the wild and possibly stop at the Blueberry Mine Store for a refreshing cool one following the hike. :)

On every trip into the Superstitions, I find another Gold Mine. Today the mine was filled with Memories. I can not wait for the next trip.

Not a bad guess! ;) I don't want to high-jack Jack's hike thread (sorry Jack), but it was kind-of funny how my now planned Tues-11/20 trip came about:
ASUAvaitor & LittleKnee posted this intriguing pic.. http://hikearizona.com/photo.php?ZIP=295188 , but this pic was actually taken in a totally different trip area to the east of this Timber Camp/Timber Mtn area. I was going nuts trying to locate this pic scene within this Timber Mtn area (the Salt River Canyon Wilderness). After hours of research on topo maps, satellite, some Google Earth, and Oregon Hiker's feedback it finally dawned on me that this pic scene was from within the San Carlos Indian Reservation.. HAZ Hike- http://hikearizona.com/decoder.php?ZTN=15307 The really good part is that I discovered some other really interesting areas in this same SRC Wilderness area to check out.. which does include Haystack Butte and much more.. :D

http://hikearizona.com/decoder.php?ZTN=539 A little over 5 miles and a solid 3 hours with this bunch.

Not a difficult hike, more like a fun hike with lots of good scenery. You may be pressed for time getting back to Carefree by 2:00 so there are a couple of places where you can take a shortcut back to the parking lot.

It would be good to meet you too and we would enjoy the company.

If I happen to not show up for this I would like to apologize in advance. I have a little of a cough and not feeling 100%. As of now it's not bad, but not sure how I'll feel in the morning. I usually bounce back from this sort of thing overnight.

I should have taken the whole week off, not just Thursday and Friday, as there is not much for me to do at work. I could have gone on this hike ... :(

I thought about trying to get myself down there, but my 19 year old car needs work, and I just started two new jobs, and badly needed some quiet time at home. Sounds like it was fun!

I wish I could have done this hike Jack as I am in your neck of the woods but I had to work. I'm sure it was fun if Tibber and Sinalya and or Outdoor Lover were along :)

I'm sure I'll see you on a trail out in the Supes!
