Geronimo-Webber-Turkey Loop Sunday July 20

Post by DarthStiller »

I saw this one listed in Phoenix magazine this month and thought it looked like a good one to get out of the "real" heat. I'm thinking of starting up the Geronimo Trail (240)to West Webber Trail (228), then take FR218 from Milk Ranch Pt. to Dickenson Flat, and finish taking the Turkey Spring Trail (217) back to the TH. I'm guessing it should be in the 11-12 mile range RT. I'll leave my place at 5:30am again.

I've done all the legs of the loop, it's a great hike. If it's still on I'm in!

It really is a great loop hike.. just watch the weather closely up there for threating thunder and lighting as there is mucho exposure going up to the RIM at 7000'+ elev and also with the hike on the road at the top getting from one trail to the other. Have fun!!

It's still on. I've gained at least about 10 lbs from my vacation, and my body will be sore from my first week back at the gym, but I'm going to the trial by fire mode to get back in shape ASAP.
