Ryan Dam is a hydroelectric facility located approximately 10 miles downstream from Great Falls, Montana.
Construction of the dam began in 1913 and was completed in 1915, built atop the natural Great Falls of the Missouri River.
The Great Falls were first described by Captain Meriwether Lewis on June 13, 1805, during the Lewis and Clark Expedition.
