This is my second time at The Alamo. They have done a lot of rearranging and additional work since 2024. If you haven't been in a while, it is certainly worthy of another visit. They are also doing some additional excavation work.
The Alamo (the Misión San Antonio de Valero) in downtown San Antonio, Texas. The image captures the iconic 18th-century limestone facade of the chapel, which served as a pivotal site during the Texas Revolution.
Key Details of the Image:
Architecture: The photo highlights the Spanish Colonial style, specifically the unique curved parapet at the top and the ornate carved stone columns flanking the main wooden doors. You can also see the rectangular windows with dark wooden shutters on the right side of the facade.
In the background, the Emily Morgan Hotel, known for its Gothic Revival architecture, rises behind the mission walls.
