| no partners | | Did a lot of walking in Needville (Brazos), Galveston and San Antonio last week but it's never the same as a good ole dirt trail I know well. Luckily when I got back we got cooler temps and I needed to go to Trader Joe's.
Before I even got to the trail off of 38th St. I saw two rabbits and a squirrel. I found some shade for Tonto3 and headed on my way to do a counterclockwise loop. I like this loop as it's a little roller coaster, my hips appreciate that too. Interestingly, I saw two dragonflys and heard the buzz of bees coming down the little hill on the south side. There was also 3 hikers and 2 bike riders. A lovely breeze kept me cool.
I know it's not much, but something is better than nothing.
I threw in a few photos from Texas. If you haven't been to Galveston, it's a great and fun place for sure!
WATCH 2.85 mi, 135 bpm/164 bpm max (obviously need to do more hiking) burning 459 calories. 48% Zone 5 max, 46% Zone 4 anaerobic. Temp 77 and sunny, 16% humidity, breeze 8.1 mph from the SW. |

For me, sometimes it's just as much about the journey as the destination.
Oh, and once in awhile, don't forget to look back at the trail you've traveled. |
