Upper left: Her husband was a hunter when they were in Africa. Sadly he died of a heart attack a few years ago. Anyway, their foyer has these heads staring down at you and there was one on the floor in my room with its horns cut partly off. I can only imagine what the shipping was for these when they returned to the states. Don't let gummo see this!
All of the rest of the pictures were her African decor she picked up while working in Africa. The lion is a picture they got while there. Her husband wrote a great story about when he was cooking for a one day hunt for some Arab sheiks and he was carrying some meat when a lioness approached the camp. There were only 3 people there including himself. Needless to say, he survived thanks to some quick thinking by the daughter of one of the PHs (professional hunters) who was able to run to a vehicle and start it to scare off the cat. This was in 1999. (I do have his written account of the event)

Maria has her share of stories as well including going after her dog that fell into a crocodile infested pond and entertaining the President of Zimbabwe. Michael Jackson also stopped either at Sun City or the Palace of the Lost City and Whitney Houston... lots of stories. I should suggest she write them down.
