| no partners | | | Hit the Lost Dog trailhead at 0730 (not early enough!). A few cars in the lot. The trail starts out mostly loose rock as you climb steadily towards the summit. Small rabbit crossed my path early on, many birds singing out both near and far. On the way up I was reminded why I love hiking so much: the Sense of Adventure, the Sense of Accomplishment. Made it to the top in 58m. Cold and windy but I was dressed appropriately. Nice views! Thought I would get back down much quicker since there were spots where I ran/jogged. Surprised that it took nearly the same time to get back to my car. Parking lot is packed. Fairly popular trail. Wonderful hike. Two hours r/t. |
