I was hoping the wildflowers were going to be out but I was sadly disappointed. Along the hike I ran into a rattlesnake crossing the trail. It was a little too close for comfort but no big deal as I backed away. Later on, I saw another rattler nestled in between two cacti. The good thing is both of these guys gave off a loud rattle of their tail.

I made quick work of the peak and then took a mile detour to the Lost Dog overlook. From there I was back at the car and home in minutes. This was a nice hike on a nice day.
