| no partners | | Finally made it to Picacho. What a great hike! Went with three wonderful women. 
Poppies are out, but not prolific. Everything is so green though. Lupines are making a strong start as well.
With all the people that were there, and the absolutely brand new (LEED certified) Visitors Center (dedicated in October 2009), I really have no idea why this is being closed in June. So sad.
Great short hike with some real leg-burner moments. And truly unique with all the rigging to get through the "tough" areas. By the way, I made it ok without gloves, but they wouldn't hurt to have. |
