| no partners | | One of the most memorable hikes of my life. Hiked with my son up his first mountain summit ... Picacho Peak Was hard, challenging for him, and even more so for our bichon Luigi, who at times I literally had to pick up and carry up some of those really steep spots on the west side where they have cables run.
The look on my son's face as he stood up there and saw the 360 views was priceless. And the little chipmunks at the top made Luigi happy. I remember seeing those guys up there when I did this hike a few years ago. It was on that hike in 2008 that my passing interest in hiking became an obsession, my life hasn't been the same since!!
Great weekend too...I actually took them to Picacho Peak State Park the night before and we camped out there overnight. They had electrical hookups, so I took to 25-foot electrical cords and a space heater, and we slept warm and toasty.  |
