Hiking time does not include time spent in Tibber-mode, which added another couple of hours! I'm not sure of the mileage--I'm going by the Flagstaff Hikes book 'cause my GPS didn't seem real accurate today. Despite the steep canyon, my SPOT worked well. The trail is steep in places, kind of like Maxwell trail. I spent time doing some trail work--removing those ankle-rolling rocks and some larger ones, but much more needs to be done. The next person out should bring clippers to cut back the locust on the trail. Kelsey Spring is flowing at less than a pint a minute; Babe's Spring is really putting out the water--probably close to 2 quarts a minute. I wouldn't drink directly from either--Kelsey is under alot of deadfall and Babe is captured in a rock and concrete box before flowing out. |
