| partners | | This was my first and necessary "Upper Barbershop Canyon Exploration Hike" from remote TH Start location off Mogollon Rim FR139C to locate the best access point to and down into Upper Barbershop Canyon from this TH Start.
I had previously done some mapping of this area to view possible access points and was lucky to find the best canyon entry point on my first hike attempt this day. Here is my recommended and 9/29/10 posted 4.9 mile R/T GPS Route to follow from TH Start to intersect Barbershop Trail#91 and return: http://hikearizona.com/location_g.php?GPS=9552
I was very pleased with this easy to navigate, most scenic, and riparian hiking section of remote Upper Barbershop Canyon (see pics) that few Mogollon Rim-Cabin Loop hikers ever experience. Thanks to HAZ-Marland and Tom for joining me on this maiden voyage and to confirm that our planned 10/1/10 11.0 mile "Barbershop Cyn & Dane Cyn - Mogollon Rim" hike was now definitely a "GO". |
