Since I had scouted the offtrail route with Grasshopper, on hike day I picked up the Barbershop Trial at FR 139. I followed to its beginning at the Houston Brothers Trail then back to the intersection of Barbershop Canyon and the Barbershop Trail. I waited here with Tom for Grasshopper and GPSJoe. When they arrived we hiked together doing a loop in upper Dane Canyon. We returned to our camp via the car while Grasshopper and GPSJoe retraced their route offtrail through Barbershop Canyon.

This was really a pretty area, especially the canyons.
