| no partners | | First time ever in the McDowells. It was getting late in the afternoon so I decided to take the 128th st route since it is shorter. Made it to Tom's Thumb just about 10 minute before sunset and it was incredible! Great view and a great hike. Just enough to get a good workout and plenty of stretches of trail to get a jogging pace going. The boulders seem a lot bigger when you actually stand next to them than from far on the trail. Next time in the mountains there will be a longer trail to East End. |
