| no partners | | Plan was to go up the Coronado Trail but the weather looked bad higher up so I turned around and drove back down to Clifton to hike Red Canyon. Wow, what a very colorful canyon full of reds, browns, golds & copper! The rain stayed away as I made my way up the canyon to about the 2 mile mark where I found the ruins of an old mining camp(?) and made this my turnaround point. Will definitely come back in the future to explore further up this canyon. On the drive back to Clifton I stopped a mile up the road and hiked up to the Mares Bluff war memorial. |
