| no partners | | We did this hike from Sabino to Ventana with a car at each end.
Esperero gets real steep past 'bridal veil falls'. Very little water in any of the drainages, but bridal veil falls were trickling and so were the maiden pools. Still some patches of snow left below the north facing vertical faces, above 6500'.
We both had sore feet (blisters & hot spots) after 12 miles. Once we got off the steep grade below maiden pools, Mary turned on the gas. As we boogied, the conversation was mostly about food and beer during the last 2 miles.
Changed into sandals and went directly to Risky Biz for Burgers & beer. I got home, showered and enjoyed an imperial IPA (medicinal purposes of course) before crawling into bed for 10 hours of sleep! |
