| no partners | | We had a very full (11 mile) day in this sweet Sedona Canyon & West Fork of Oak Creek. 11.75 hours of canyon time + 8 hours of driving time = worn out but happy! Had my alarm set for 3:00am and arrived back home in time to put my head on the pillow at 2:30am.
We did get a rope stuck in a lovely crack and had to ascend the rope to remedy the situation so that extended our canyon time a smidge. The amount of tree fall to contend with in this canyon was massive. Probably more combined tree fall in this one canyon than in all of the other hikes I have ever done put together. Hit the Call of the Canyon trail just a few minutes before dark (thankfully but according to plan) and stumbled out with headlamps.......extreme fatigue! We were so zapped that we had a little challenge locating our shuttle vehicle....LOL. Can't wait to go back
Thanks Cheryl and Ryan |
