| no partners | | My last day in Colorado was cut short due to the injury, so I visited Janelle and some others for a short while in Rifle before heading back to Phoenix a day early. The inviting Colorado scenery just becomes unbearably tantalizing when you can't properly interact with it, so I packed up and headed out before becoming tempted to do something I shouldn't.
Last year I'd driven through Monument Valley near sunset and had been disappointed that I didn't have time to stop. This time I had no excuses, since I had nothing else to do the next day. I took some pictures, enjoyed the scenery, and finished out my trip on a high note. I didn't clean up any of the pictures or edit them for color or composition because I know others have taken far better ones, and this was mostly just to remind myself of what a great vacation I'd had and what an amazing place the southwest is. So here's the ending of my trip. As I yelled to the Utah scenery, paraphrased, "You're pumpkin beautiful!" |
