| partners | | Wow, what an adventure! Just from the drive in, trying to find our way through a MAZE of non-signed dirt roads and dodging ditches and especially on the way out in the dark was an adventure on it's own! I would highly recommend anyone doing this to be as smart as Bobby & download the track to just get in! John & I would've been driving around for a long time trying to find our way to the start. Oh, and the road is horrible, so do NOT take your Cadillac back there!
We picked what we thought looked like the best 'route' up, in the main drainage. Lots of scrambling involved. I actually christened the adventure by stepping on a wobbly rock & falling on my tail bone. OUCH! My tail bone is bruised, but what hurts the most is the split open palm of my hand. That's the WORST spot to get cut open! I left some blood trails on some of the rocks on the way up, so you can look for that to follow our route.
I only put Bob as a partner because he did ride in the car with us for a while, but other than that, we only saw glimpses of him scurrying up and down the peak like a freakin' squirrel! Thanks for saving us on the way in & out Bob, it was good to see your butt again anyway. |
