I was supposed to go ,but life happens and I don't get to attend this year.
We got a late start after shuttling to baby shower etc. It's interesting that we were told to make ourselves scarce, but had to drive people to the event. 
Anyway, Muesli came along as well and all had a good time. Came across a baying beagle bassett hound mix on the last stream crossing before heading up to Battleship. He seemed lost had a green harness and no sign of an owner. We continued up past the alcove and my dad decided to grab something to eat. When we were in sight of the crossing the dog started barking at us. I told my dad with the late start that we would probably need our flashlights on the way back. He got into his pack and realized that in his transfer of stuff from his suitcase to pack that he must have dropped it in the rental car trunk. 
At that point on top of the first climb looking at Battleship we decided to save the rest for next time and head back since it was already 2:30. Didn't see the dog on the way back, but a camper had seen the dog. Left a note on the sign in with gps coordinates. If it's your dog pm me and I'll get you the coordinates. Got back a little after sunset.
