| no partners | | I thought we were going to the Sweetwater Trail (I was hoping to get party way up the trail to Wasson Peak in the 2 hours of sunlight we had), but my friend had only ever been here - and she was driving. And I'm glad this is where we landed, as I'd never been here before. Every trail junction is very clearly signed and the area is very pretty. So while the hiking wasn't any challenge, there were many things to keep my attention. The soil was covered with green (more than I saw at Dove Mt the week before), so I anticipate there will be tons of wildflowers blooming here in the next couple weeks.
Quite a few people had dogs (including us) and we ran into a few bikers. I knew one of the latter and he said it made for good mountain biking, as parts were somewhat challenging. If I lived closer, I'd probably use this for trail running during the weekdays. |
