| no partners | | I took a few days off to bounced back and forth from San Diego to Joshua Tree NP and hitting a few areas in between like Idyllwild, Mecca Hills, The Living Desert Zoo near Palm Springs, and the Salton (smelly) Sea. I found out there were no bears in Idyllwild, which bummed me out, so I didn't spend as much time as I thought that I would there. I found out that Idyllwild (San Jacinto Mtns) was grizzly bear country before they were expirated and that black bears never had a staple population there. In the past 10 years tho, some black bears have moved across I-10 and have been spotted in the area. Also, Idyllwild was kind of crowded and had a lot of granola folks.
Anyway, these are some of the pics from San Diego only, with the exception of the brown widow, which was seen on a small trashy plastic kiddie slide off the road. |
