I have been past the Arboretum many times and often wanted to take the tour through this scenic park, so, today we did it.
We arrived at the booth around 0930, paid our $9.00 (each) admission fee and easily found a parking spot. There were several people in the park already, but it's so big that everyone was spread out observing the plants and birds. But that was short lived, as the cars continued arriving bringing the kids and dogs.
It seemed that every time I set up my tripod to compose a photo, someone would walk past me and through the scene I was framing. Most of the time I patiently waited until the area was again clear, but on some shots, I had no options but to take the shot and rely on Photoshop to clean it up later. I was not able to spend as much time as I wanted because of the crowds so we left to a now, almost full parking lot.
The Arboretum is indeed an oasis in the midst of a desert and one that I will surely visit again. But you can bet, the next time will not be on a weekend |
