This trip was a great adventure. The trail starts out along the creek. The sound of running water was a nice treat after so many dry desert hikes. The canyon walls narrow, the climb up the dry waterfalls is fun and the views in both directions intensify with the elevation gain. Finding the right trail isn't always easy. The hike included lots sliding, crawling, and climbing through scree and deep loose dirt. It took us nearly 4 hours to reach the ruins. We ran into at least 8 others on the trail. Not all made it to the ruins. I think the constant sound of rock slides discouraged some.

Extra fun trip, 3 showers to get clean afterwards, slow going, beautiful ruins.

Note: if you come across a green rope you're in the wrong place. Climbing it = Bad Idea.
