Still, I took my time scanning the slope for the best option. It turned out the best route was to follow a ridge at an oblique angle from the SE up to the center of the eastern slope. This brought me to the top at a relatively easy rocky area.
Once at the top of the eastern ridge I realized I was on the opposite side of the mesa from the actual summit. I debated whether to take a beeline, dropping down into the center of the mesa or to follow the rocks in a semi-circle around to the north.
I started on the rocks but with plenty of thorny objects in with the rocks I made the turn to the summit. Like Peak 3570 the summit are was pretty flat so I wandered a bit. First I found a geocache but it was not at the summit so I kept wandering. Eventually I reached the summit and found a summit log, to which I added an entry.
On the return I stuck right along the edge of the rocky ridge all the way around from the NW to the SE before turning back and taking my original route back down to the trailhead just south of Big Rincon Tank.
