| no partners | | A short and steep climb to the top, beeline to the 'summit' although as flat as it was it wasn't obvious. I wandered around perimeter of the flat top taking photos of SR87 as well as numerous photos of Black Mesa immediately to the north, since I would be hiking it next. But after a good look at Black Mesa it was quite obvious I wouldn't be climbing it from this side and would be driving out FR1705 and climb it from the east.
Although the top was flat, with the numerous loose rocks and almost every thorny thing known to Arizona except for cholla, even trying to be careful I still managed to draw blood on more than one.
