I decided that it was o.k. for us to proceed. Continued our scrambling up the steep South side of Superstition Peak - fun, fun, fun! I did have a little cairnage (sniglet) -- when grabbing a rock that wasn't stable, it tumbled into my forearm and gave it a little slice - no biggy. We continued up until the sun peaked through again and we were very close to the ridgeline. I knew that Merlot (my husky) couldn't climb to the Peak & I had been there before; so decided that why push her -- we took some pics and headed on back. The hike back is not for the scree-phobic. Take a different route for sure. There was quite a bit to deal with on the steep downhill.
