We were thinking we'd find a couple of canyons - but we only found/ventured into Hells acre on the way back. Water level was ankle to knee deep & we found ourselves hiking in the water most of the way to our turn around spot - as it was cooler and easy to follow. Do not wear tevas - as rocks will be under foot all the time. I changed out of mine right away & put on boots (use socks too - and tie tightly to avoid the rocks entering).
They said the prettiest part of the canyon was in the middle - guess we would have had to go another mile or two in. Next time : )) We were very lucky to buy our permits the day before, as everything was sold out. Yee haa. Enjoy!
