| no partners | | My wife and I live in Surprise and I drive home everyday looking at the White Tanks wondering what it would be like to hike to the top. After a bit of research, I planned out the hike to the top and everything was planned for Saturday. We woke to an overcast day with a bit of light rain, but we planned accordingly and started out from Goat Camp Trail. We saw a few hikers on the flat part of the trail, but after the first mile, the trail was barren.
With all the recent rain, the desert was beautiful. We didn't have any problem finding the turn off of Goat Camp. Almost to the jeep trail we ran into two other hikers who where making their decent. We pushed on, made the top, and relaxed while enjoying the view. Great hike and one I look forward to doing again. |
