.The section through Clear Creek campground is cool.As soon as you climb out of the creek it feels like your on the old supply route.We started seeing chevrons,General Crook Trail signs,and carins and that makes us feel more in toon with the trail.I agree with Bruce that it would be cool to meet some of the scouts that help preserve this route 40 years ago.It got a little warm in the middle of this section but we had a slight breeze.Bruce had set us up two cache spots so that helped too.The views got better as we climbed and the rolling hills and scattered juniper were nice.The temps started back down and clouds moved in to make the last few miles pretty nice.Almost to the end of this section and we spot a few Elk.As we drop down towards one of about 5-6 water tanks we had seen on this trip the Elk began to trot.That's when re realized there were more than a few.They seemed to spread out for a half mile and numberd 100(+-).
