| no partners | | Joe’s Pixel Trivia game is alot of fun to play.
This last summer, I learned more about Geology, Fauna, Flora, Culture etc than any sane person should be allowed. However, it’s now time to ‘get-off-the-“hiking”-couch’ and mix in some actual hiking. This hike was a good start. I found one benchmark (Culture), saw a helicopter (Culture), a couple bees (Fauna), and also observed that all the desert plants (Flora) were in a very healthy state.
Oh …. and all the rocks (Geology) were in good shape too. Yep, I know my Pixel Trivia.
Sonoran Tr, Western Loop Tr, Promenade Tr are all in the Fountain Hills part of the McDowell Mountains hiking system, and you access them via the Dixie Mine trail. All the trails are in excellent shape.
I noticed that there has been no progress on the partially built trail (I call it ‘No Name Trail’) that will eventually connect Scottsdale’s Sunrise Trail with the FH Western Loop Trail. The Fountain Hills section is completed, but so far, that’s it. Whenever ‘No Name trail’ is completed, we’ll all have a multitude of extra trail combos to choose from. That’s a good thing, so close to Phoenix.
I had all the trails to myself. Not another person in site. I guess everyone was resting after Halloween. BOO ! |
