WENT UP TO THE SUMMIT (SQUAW PEAK) ON A THURSDAY MORNING AROUND 8:30 THINKING THERE WOULD MAYBE ONLY BE A COUPLE OF OTHER CARS PARKED AND A FEW PEOPLE BUT THERE WERE MAYBE AROUND 50 OTHERS GOING UP. THIS I WOULD DUB AS A STAIRMASTER HIKE. ITS ROCK STEPS ALMOST THE WHOLE WAY UP...ITS A GREAT SHORT WORKOUT HIKE FOR HOW SHORT THE DISTANCE IS ITS STRAIGHT UP THE WHOLE WAY. I COULD SEE WHY ALOT OF PEOPLE INTO GETTING A CARDIO WORKOUT HEAD UP THIS ONE AND NOT AS MANY "HIKERS". BUT THE SUMMIT DOES GIVE A GREAT VIEW OF THE ENTIRE VALLEY...AND ITS FUN GETTING AN OVERVIEW OF ALL THE OTHER LANDMARKS AROUND. CAMELBACK, SUPERSTITION, PASS MTN, 4 PEAKS, ESTRELLAS, WHITE TANKS, SOUTH AND NORTH MTN, ALL ARE IN GOOD VIEW FROM THERE. I WOULD NEVER HIKE THIS ONE AGAIN UNLESS IM NEARBY AND TAKE IT AS AN AFTER WORK EVENING HIKE, BUT I HEAR ALOT OF OTHERS DO THAT TOO.
