Seems there is a seldom found geocache atop that hill. There are several ways to get there, at least I think so. We had planned and plotted for a good while until finally setting off down Table Mesa Road to our selected start point.
This was one of the more demanding hikes I've been on. Wasn't really feeling all that great and almost hit the wall on the way out. But we all made it in and out safely. I was really impressed with the girls. This was beyond their normal comfort range and they did great.
There is some big country, and not much else, back here. Not going to post a route or tooo many photos as part of the challenge of finding this particular geocache is finding a reasonable route in and out. If you venture into the New River Mountains be careful, let someone know your plans and bring lots of water. |
