Mileage includes the south Pine Loop Trail in, and the north Pine Loop trail out, and is mostly a guess. The little hill after the river crossing seemed like a nice place to have lunch and turn around. I don't think I made it all the way to Boulder Flat; plenty of boulders, but not much flat! Three hours out and two hours back.

This is definitely a desert trail, but 5-10 degrees cooler than Phoenix. The boulders reminded me of Texas Canyon and the Chiracahuas. There was a breeze all day and the occasional cloud to keep things pleasant.
