| no partners | | | This was this year's version of the our annual Christmas Day hike in Estrella Mt Park. Bright sunny day, blue skies, temps near 70F. Five of us made up our party. Started from the rodeo grounds parking lot at the junction of the Toothaker and Rainbow Valley trails. Turned left onto Butterfield Trail. The area was noticeably green rather than the usual browns. We then turned right onto Dysart Trail to traverse around the mountain. We then turned right onto the Toothaker Trail to return to the rodeo grounds. Overall it was a great hike with easy going trails up and down washes. There was a longer, steeper climb as we approached the Dysart Trail intersection. |
