| no partners | | Started at the lower trailhead this time and hiked to Maverick Spring, like I set out to accomplish last time but didn't have time to complete. After getting to maverick spring I went the extra .4 mile to the intersection of Green Mountain Trail and the Shortcut Trail, where I stopped last time, and headed back. Briefly hiked up Guthrie Mountain trail, but only got about a quarter mile before I realized I wouldnt have enough time to hike to the end before the sunset. Guess Ill have to save that hike for another day.
Jogged back down the trail toward Hitchcock Campground, attempting to find spots to take pictures of the sunset. Managed to find a couple decent spots and took several decent pictures of the sunset before it finally disappeared behind the mountains. |
