The best part of this hike are the views of Whetstone Mountain immediately to the west and the Dragoon Mountains far to the east. The Dragoons are now on my list of places to check out in the future. We, I, got lucky in that a storm front was moved in so we got a little wet, adding a little extra drama to the hike... Wendi never sees that as luck, to each his/her own, though she does seem to appreciate it more and more. Perhaps I like to imagine she does.
The caves were awesome, a must for anyone's bucket list, lest you're not fond of enclosed spaces deep underground, dark places with stories of bats and guano. If you made it through that last sentence without sweating you're prolly ok. |
