| partners | | This one has been on my list ever since Nick and I did Window Peak. Personally I rate this one as high or higher than Window Peak. Both are awesome and I wish they were closer I would do them much more often.
On the way up we passed a few hikers but not many. Then shortly after we passed a girl from Washington Joe stepped on a silver/green snake. I don't know who was more freaked out, the snake or Joe. Joe jumped and the snake did too. I am watching this from a couple steps behind and the snake whipped its tail up in the air hitting Joes legs and then it darted into the first hole away from us that it could find.
A mile later we cross paths with a Black Tailed Rattler. This one was under the bush but wanted to make sure we knew it was there. Beyond that no real excitement just a long chug up the never ending hill.
Up at the rock formations there was a good rope there that we used to reach the summit. Killer views and a fantastic summit! This one is a winner and I look forward to a return sometime after summer. |
