| no partners | | | This was day 5 and my family decided to play tourists and I decided to hike instead. I walked a few miles into town and went to a place and got a "map". It was just as good as my gps without maps of Alaska. Luckily after about 3-4 miles of walking, I found a trail and it headed up. The first 2,000 feet of aeg was void of snow and then it was on. I post holed up to my waist at times but mostly it was ankle or knee level. I was old school hiking in blue jeans and it was warmish at times and hot at times and freezing at times. The views were pretty cool and it was a fun day. I just wish I had packed other supplies to do some cooler stuff. |
