This was an out and back with my mountain bike. I drove in about 4 miles and rode my bike and hiked back up carrying my 36 pounder. Border Patrol had their eyes on me. I moved my vehicle another 2 miles and repeat. Drove to the alternate TH and hiked to about Philly Mine and rode back. A mountain bike is a good way to knock off road AZT without a shuttle. Did 18 miles total hike and bike in about 3 hours.
